Fujifilm Launches FinePix HS20 EXR

30X super zoom brings everything at an arm s length.

Fujifilm. has launched the FinePix HS20 EXR, which is the latest in theirS-Series of digital cameras with EXR technology. The main USP (Unique Selling Point) of the camera as being advertised by Fujifilm is its powerful 30x optical zoom lens with CMOS Shift Image Stabilization and its professional level image quality at an affordable price. The S-Series from Fujifilm consists of the company's DSLR and bridge camera models.

With a 16 MP resolution image CMOS sensor with EXR, Fujifilm has attempted to combine the best of both worlds. Sporting classy black looks, the FinePix HS20 EXR appears to be a serious new entrant into the already crowded digital cameras market. While it is similar to the HS20 released earlier this year, the main difference is the EXR chip that powers the EXR shooting modes. These modes make a good improvement in the quality of photographs as against those shot in automatic mode.

The 24mm extreme wide angle Fujinon lens is capable of not just the super zoom, but also of shooting extreme close-ups of subjects placed as close as 2 cm from the lens. It supports high sensitivity at up to ISO12800, allowing you to get better photos even in insufficient lighting. HD movie shooting at 1080p (1920x1080 pixels) is yet another attractive feature and you can even play back these movies right through the camera, by hooking it up to your HDTV using a HDMI cable.

Along with a 3.0-inch display, the camera also has an Electronic ViewFinder (EVF), which is more useful while shooting outdoors under direct sunlight. Smile&Shoot, Face Detection and Blink Detection are also some of the other useful features. Additional features include Super Intelligent Flash, Advanced Anti-Blur, Best Frame Capture Modeand functions for easy sharing and upload.
